Get off to a strong start – from the first concepts to real exam problems

You've just started university, and management accounting is the first tough course. At the same time, a lot else is new all at once: a new way of studying, a faster pace, and a first exam where you're not quite sure what's expected. Management accounting is also a course that much of the rest of your degree builds on. That's why it pays to get it right from the start.

The course gives you a solid foundation from the very beginning and requires no prior knowledge. We start with the basic concepts and build from there, so you always understand why we do what we do. The goal is for you to understand and apply the methods instead of just following templates. This is often where things go wrong at the exam: you can do a calculation but don't know when to use it or what the result means.

We go through theory, calculations and exam problems step by step. The topics come in a set order, so your understanding builds gradually. Along the way, you'll learn how an exam problem is put together and what's expected of you, so you don't walk into your first exam without knowing what you're facing.

The course runs over 30 hours. That leaves time to take the material at a steady pace, ask all the questions you need, and work through problems yourself along the way.

What you get

30 hours of live teaching We go through the material thoroughly from the ground up and work with examples and problems throughout. The focus is on the approach, so you can use the methods yourself and aren't tied to a fixed template.

Complete notes in Obsidian You get access to a complete note system where the material is structured and explained. The notes work both during the course and for revision before the exam.

Notes for the semester's three other courses You also get notes for the three other courses in your semester. FIBUS doesn't currently offer courses in those subjects, so the notes give you an overview and support your studying for the rest of the semester too.

Selected exam problems on video Selected exam problems are solved on video, so you can follow the full solution step by step and come back to it whenever you need.

Questions on Slack If you get stuck on a problem or a topic, you can ask questions on Slack and get help all the way up to the exam. No question is too small, and this also covers problems that aren't solved on video.

Support up to the exam You don't have to face your first exam alone. You can get help with the areas where you need an extra explanation or more practice.
